Quote Interpretation:

In this glog, I represented the quote from Act I. The quote is one of the biggest moments in the play, when Romeo first meets Juliet. This is what he first thinks of her. This quote means that he thinks she is the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. This is the turning point in the story, which is when he finally gets over Rosaline. The dark and ugly background in my glog represents his sad and gloomy past with Rosaline. The bright and colorful words and pictures represent Romeo's new happy life with Juliet. He is finally happy again, only because Benvolio convinced him to go to the party. He wanted him to meet other girls so he could get over Rosaline, which is exactly what happened. This sometimes happens in present day life also. People are sad and depressed because the person they like do not like them back. Eventually, they move on to someone else who does like them. They too are then happy and forget all about who they previously liked.

ACT TWO:

Advice Letter:

Quote Interpretation:

I made a scrapbook page to represent my quote. I worked hard to kind out put the quote into my theme of the background. In this quote, it says a lot about how Juliet feels about Romeo. In the first part she is saying that her love for Romeo is endless. It goes on forever like the oceans, and as deep as the sea. She is basically saying she can't put how much she loves Romeo into words. There is no comparison that she could use for anyone to understand how she feels. This also happens in life today. People who truely are in love can't put there feelings into words. It just is not possible for them. In the second part of the quote, she is saying that what they feel for each other is the same. She is saying that they share everything. What she has is his. In life today, when people love each other they do get married. When they do this most combine checking accounts and everything else. They share what they have with their spouse and children, because they are a family.

ACT THREE:

Quote Interpretation:

In the glog below, I represented the quote that Romeo says in act 3 scene 3. It is about him leaving Verona forever. He does not want to be banished from Juliet. In this quote, he means that every other unworthy thing, like a rat, can live with Juliet so why can't he? If he is banished he'd rather die because he can't be where juliet is, heaven. This can relate to today, because some people are over dramatic in relationships. If a relationship is new they could be attached and make every problem seem bigger than it really is. Romeo and Juliet's relationship is new, so they should not want to die simply because they can't see each other. They could still send letters and communicate that way. It would take a long time, but it is better then being dead and not being able to talk at all.

ACT FOUR:

Parents vs. Teens Paper:
-

Quote Interpretation:
"Death lies on her like an untimely frost, upon the sweetest flower of all the field."
-Capulet IV, V

To me, this quote means alot. He is saying that Juliet is dead and that she was and still is the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. Capulet talking about his daughter shows how much he cared for her, even though he yelled and fought with her sometimes. Today isn't much different. Parents love their children and do everything they can to keep them safe and protect them. Although, they do yell, but most of the time it is for our own good. I'm glad my mom and dad have set boundaries because I know they love me. Capulet is also saying that he misses his daughter a lot. He wishes that she was still alive and hadn't died. He is wondering why this happened to their family. This also happens in present day. When people lose a loved one they wonder why it was their family who had to suffer. They sometimes blame it on someone else and say it's their fault that they took an innocent life.

ACT FIVE:

Rewrite the Ending Paper:
-

Quote Interpretation:
"See what a scourge is laid upon your hate, that heaven finds means to kill your joys with love."
-Prince V, III

When the prince says this, he is talking to the Montague and Capulet families. It was after the families found both Romeo and Juliet dead in the Capulet vault. He means that what they did, killing themselves, was done because they were not allowed to be together. They loved each other so much that they'd rather die than be separated. He explains how much they cared for each other and how they should've been allowed together. He blamed their deaths on the Montagues' and Capulets' family feud. If they did not have that feud then no one would've killed themselves. In life today, people's parents don't always get along with others. If their children like their kid's they don't let them date simply because they don't like their parents. They don't understand that maybe their children could be different. They could go behind there back anyway like Romeo and Juliet did. If parents let people like who they wanted even if they didn't like their parents, then a lot of people's marriages and families would be happier. It would end better and families and in laws, instead of agonizing and a waste to hate.
